What happens when you run a free audit.
This page explains what Suede Audit does with the domain you submit at optimize.suedeai.ai.
What the audit fetches
Suede Audit fetches the public homepage, robots.txt, llms.txt, and sitemap.xml of the domain you submit. It does not log in, does not access private or authenticated pages, and rejects private IP addresses, internal hostnames, and non-public destinations as a target.
What is logged
Each completed audit logs the submitted domain, the resulting score, and how long the check took, to server logs used for monitoring and debugging. Failed audits log the domain and an error message. These are operational records for keeping the service running, not a public or shared database.
Abuse prevention
A short-lived, in-memory counter limits how many audits a single IP address can run per minute. This counter is not written to disk and resets automatically.
Your browser
A cookie named suede_audit_used records that this browser has already used its one free audit; it expires after one year. Your finished report is cached in your browser's local storage so you can reopen it without running another scan. Suede Audit does not create an account.
Your email address
The free audit asks for an email address and confirms it with a one-time code before the report unlocks. Your address is used for two things: delivering that code, and notifying us that you ran an audit so we can follow up. Both are emails delivered by Resend, our transactional email provider, under its own terms. The address is not written to a database, not added to an automated mailing list, and not shared or sold. The notification in our inbox is the only record.
Third parties
Suede Audit does not sell submitted domains or audit results to third parties.
